Interview about the HRFF key visuals
I was interviewed about the Honolulu Rainbow Film Festival key visuals. It’s a short one, but here’s an excerpt and some rare behind the scenes photos shot by Augusto DeCastro:
Besides letting people know about the festival, in your mind, what message did you want to send with the visuals?
I wanted to refocus the visuals and give them an optimistic, playful vibe. I wanted them to embody life in Hawai‘i and keep them visually distinct from the many film festival posters out there. So they’re fun, colorful with a little camp and sexiness thrown in.
Be sure to check out the films this year! The program listing is on the site!
