Night shooting with Scott Francis Russell

Did some test shots with local actor Scott Francis Russell recently. Used the opportunity to teach my assistant Michiko what I call “Super Bokeh” (but what most of the photography world calls the Brenizer Effect) using the Waikiki skyline as a backdrop. Also played around with some light streaks, which created a cool in-camera effect most people would use Photoshop for.

Heading to Kona tomorrow to shoot some assignments and check out some neat sights. We’ll be there for two days so follow me on Instagram to stay updated!

And now for a really tall image shot using the Super Bokeh!

Told you it was really tall.
